PURSUE TO–DO!
Maybe you thought that after you
1) completed your Spiritual Gifts Survey,
2) signed up for a ministry role which uses your special gifts, and
3) talked with the ministry leader to get plugged in you’re done.
No way! This is just the beginning. Pursue lives on as a permanent piece of who we are at Central: Servants of and for Christ. Feel free to get out of your comfort zone, try something new and stretch a bit. Nothing bad will happen if you don’t like it, and you’ll have learned a little more about yourself. As you grow, your spiritual gifts may shift. It’s a good thing! Just get out there and do something. It’s God’s purpose for you.
Pursue2... What is it?
The next step is to launch PURSUE2, serving where you are gifted. How do you know where you’re gifted? This is a critical question---so critical, in fact, that we’re taking the whole month of February to help you find out what your spiritual gifts are, and how you can use them to glorify God by serving in an area of your giftedness. Every Sunday morning message will be devoted to Spiritual Gifts. Each Sunday in March, what is currently known as the “Welcome Center” (the niche just outside the Worship Center) will become the exploration center for PURSUE2. A different ministry area will be highlighted each week, and folks who are currently serving (or have recently served) in that area will be on hand to answer questions.
Here's the best part:
Every member of Central Christian Church who wants to grow spiritually through serving in his/her area of giftedness will be provided with a Spiritual Gifts Assessment to help find the best “fit” for service at Central. Elders, Staff and LifeGroup Leaders will all be available to identify the next best step for you to take to utilize your specific gifts. When you’re using your specific gifts, you’re growing spiritually.
