What are the objectives of Student Ministry?

Encourage and teach students and adults to model Godly
relationships in a safe and secure environment.
Foster, grow and support servant-hearted students as they
serve and lead with adults and fellow students at Centra
as well as in our community.
Provide opportunities to experience God through discipleship
and mentoring in order to develop a practical knowledge of
    the Bible.
+  Teach adults and students to care for others and share God's compassion for lost and hurting
people, without respect to different racial, societal, or economic backgrounds.
Enable students to lead others to Christ by cultivating meaningful relationships with
    accountability.

Sanctuary 101
Freshman/Sophomore Sunday AM Central Teaching

Beginning August 31—November 23, High School Student Ministries will provide round table facilitators in the fellowship hall during Central Teaching.  Freshmen and Sophomores are invited to join us in order to learn how to get the most out of the Central Teaching experience.  We believe that the learning experience is greater when multiple generations are present in community.  The church at large has been losing students when they enter college, and many people believe that it is a direct result of the American church's emphasis on age segregation.  Our students need the kingdom adults and the kingdom adults need the students.  God has called us to this place together to be his body.  These facilitation groups are intended to help students and adults learn how to take an active role in listening, learning and helping others to learn the Word as it is being taught in sermon and song.  We apologize for any inconvenience we might cause for those normally in the fellowship hall, but see this as a vital and necessary transition step for our young disciples.  You are welcome to join us.
